WRITE A SCREENPLAY IN 4 STEPS If you're just beginning a script or are in the idea stage, then let Dave mentor you through four steps of the writing process, culminating in the completion of a showcase script. The fourth step of this Write a Screenplay program is the equivalent of Dave's Master Evaluation & Consultation (#2 above). 4. QUERY LETTER EVALUATION You should spend as much time on your query letter as you do on your script's key scene. Your query letter is your prime "break-in" tool. Agents and producers generally will not read your script until they have first read your query letter. TEN PAGES EVALUATION Do you want to know how your first ten pages look to an agent or producer? Dave will evaluate your first ten pages for scene structure, characterization, dialogue, and format. TREATMENT EVALUATION Dave will evaluate a treatment intended to spark interest in your script or a synopsis written so that you can focus your story, FEE: $195 for 3-page treatment or synopsis, double spaced. ONE-ON-ONE CONSULTATION FEE: $200 per hour for telephone consultations or meetings with writers, producers, and investors. FORMATTING REVIEW Dave's formatting review is available to those who want their script, or a portion thereof, reviewed for formatting issues only. Dave will hand correct the formatting on each page.
